Teresa Wright has over 25 years of experience managing and growing organizations in the nonprofit and profit sectors. In her 8th year with the Funding Information Center (FIC) the membership has grown to over 334 nonprofit organizations, and service to another 200 organizations in 2005. She has addressed hundreds of nonprofit and foundation boards, community organizations, IRS agents, national conferences, universities, and local, state and national governments, and is a recognized local media contact for nonprofits.
Teresa is committed to documenting and advocating the value of nonprofit services, volunteerism and philanthropy to foundations, corporations, community organizations and government officials, sharing the scope and economic impact of the work of the nonprofit sector, and is recognized by local media as a key contact for nonprofit research and expertise.
Most recently Teresa was a delegate to the National Nonprofit Congress in Washington D.C., an unprecedented gathering of nonprofit leaders developing priorities for the future of our sector. She is a trained Board Source board trainer, a four-time presenter at the DFW Philanthropy Conference, Collection Supervisor for the Foundation Center North Texas nonprofit research library, an honorary Lifetime Member of the Texas State PTA, and received the IRS Tax Exempt Region 5 Director’s Award. Prior to joining FIC, she served as aide to Kansas Governor John Carlin, serving in the same position when he was Speaker of the House of Representatives and a state representative.
