Jeremy Solomons is the UK-born founder/president of Jeremy Solomons & Associates. He provides customized coaching, facilitation and training in Alliances & Partnering, Career Development, Conflict Resolution, Diversity & Inclusion (both Global and Domestic), Global Leadership, Globalizing Organizations, Interactive Presentations, International Meetings, Multicultural Teambuilding and Strategic Planning to current and future leaders around the world from his base in Austin.
In the areas of Diversity, Inclusion and Cultural Competence, he has consulted on strategy and co-designed and -facilitated many interactive training sessions, most recently for 3M, American Cancer Society, Association of Chinese-American Professionals, Association of Texas Professional Educators, Austin Community College, Austin Energy, Austin Police Dept., Capital Area Food Bank, Caritas, City of Austin, Communities in Schools, Dell, Farm Credit Bank of Texas, The Leader's Board, Leadership Austin, Leadership Texas, Native American Prep School, Prejudice Awareness Summit, Semiconductor Research Corp., Seton Family of Hospitals, Shell Oil, Sodexho, Texas Heart, Texas Historical Commission, Texas State University, Texas Workforce Commission and the University of Texas.
For ACC, he has designed and delivered a series of periodical, open enrollment workshops for the CCBNO since 2002. Topics have covered: Communicating Effectively across Cultures; Cultural Competence; Dealing with Difficult People and Situations; Embracing Diversity and Creating Inclusion; Managing your Manager and Planning a Meaningful Career. He also led a workshop on Embracing Diversity and Creating Inclusion for the Adult Education Program.
In the past, Jeremy managed a diverse staff and worked with clients and colleagues from all over the globe, while employed as a full-time Banker, Educator and Journalist in six multinational institutions: Citibank, JP Morgan, Lloyds Bank International, Reuters News Agency, United Press International and the World Bank.
He has lived, studied and worked for extended periods in eight countries: France, Germany, Hong Kong (and China), Israel, Italy, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
Born in Manchester, England - home of the Industrial Revolution and Manchester United - Jeremy holds MA and BA Honors degrees in French from the University of Oxford (Brasenose College). As well as speaking mother-tongue English, he has been fluent in French, German, Italian and US American, and proficient in Spanish and Texan.
Jeremy is adjunct faculty at the University of Texas’ Professional Development Center in Austin, TX; the Intercultural Management Institute at American University in Washington, DC; and the Centre for Intercultural Communication at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.
Jeremy lives in Barton Hills with his US wife, Lily; UK-US daughter, Emma; and a bevy of cats and dogs from New Mexico and Texas.
