November is National Family Caregiver month. In recognition of this Family Eldercare is providing a free training for the community. The training is for family members and/or friends providing support as a caregiver for an older adult. They will learn from a professional the essentials of caring for an older adult in the home. Most of you have some connection in providing home care services for older adults and respite for caregivers. We know that often clients can’t afford to pay for the number of hours that they really need for the proper level of support in the home. The current state of the economy will further exacerbate this situation. We want to provide our community of informal caregivers’ tools and knowledge to help them and older adults to remain safe.
