Projects whether large or small, complex or simple, are more effective when managed with a disciplined project management process. This course covers the process from start to finish and includes defining the opportunity or problem, building the project team, identifying viable solutions, identifying tasks, doing risk assessment, tracking implementation plans and determining project success. Students can pick and choose which tools to use for a lightweight project management system for their NPO.

Bob McGoldrick is a veteran of over 30 years at IBM, where he held a number of key positions in executive management, product development, project management, product planning, business planning and business process development. Bob's product experience ranged from semiconductors, office systems, personal computers, workstations, network systems, client/server systems and distributed computing systems. Bob is well versed at building, leading, managing and mentoring teams to deliver world-class solutions to satisfy customer requirements. He managed product development conception, delivery and life cycle. He defined and negotiated key strategic alliances to grow revenue and market presence through partnering with product and channels in the security and distributed systems marketplaces. His strength is in melding customer and business requirements in a technical environment. Bob established IBM's Integrated Development Process for the Networking Division of IBM. Bob set up the process and implemented the education plan to all senior management, project leaders and functional representatives. Bob volunteers as an instructor for the Austin PMI Chapter's PMP Exam Training Classes. Currently, Bob is the Coordinator for Austin Community College's Continuing Education Technical Certification Program.
Bob has a BSEE degree from Manhattan College and an MBA degree from New York University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
