TANO envisions a Texas Nonprofit Sector that works together to be among the healthiest and most vibrant in the nation. We are the third largest state sector after California and New York.
Our mission is to connect, strengthen, and support all who wish to be part of the Texas nonprofit community. We do this by serving as the voice of the Texas nonprofit sector on issues relating to the general health and well-being of the sector.

TANO is a gathering place for all nonprofits within the State of Texas regardless of size, budget, urban or rural location; whether a TANO member or not. Our concern and focus is every nonprofit entity within our state.
We serve by creating learning communities of nonprofit professionals, volunteers and others interested in the nonprofit sector. We offer conferences, seminars, and electronic forums and listservs which enable TANO members to share information, learn from one another, and expand their networks.
